How
can I discipline myself to take better care of my body?
Self-discipline
is an important key to life. One of the main aspects of self-discipline
is your self-talk, what you say to yourself about your body and
your abilities. For example, if you tell yourself that you want
to do yoga every morning when you awaken, then it is very important
to tell yourself that it is enjoyable and easy and then to make
it so.
How
do I increase my self-esteem?
You
increase your self-esteem with follow-through. You do this by following
your intuition and trusting yourself. Then your confidence will
grow. When you second guess yourself or consider yourself not good
enough, then your confidence decreases. Start with the little things
and then move onto the bigger issues. The small things that you
follow through on each day build into larger confidence. Confidence
is trusting that the God in you, will support you no matter what,
that you will be taken care of. This is the love that lives inside,
it is who you are.
How
do I increase my faith?
This
is very similar to increasing self-esteem. You increase your faith
in yourself by following through on your hunches, by praying and
trusting God.
What
is the best form of prayer?
All
forms of prayer are good. There are no rights and wrongs in this
regard. However, the strongest prayers are prayers of gratitude
rather than prayers of yearning. When you give thanks you deepen
your conviction that your prayers will be answered as soon as they
are asked. One of the easiest ways to be happy is to accept what
is and to give thanks for that and what is to come. A thankful person
is a happy person.
How
do I integrate my spirituality into my everyday life?
Spiritual
life and everyday life are one and the same. You are a composite
being, a hologram of existence. You cannot really separate your
physical, emotional, mental and spiritual selves. You are a spirit
in physical form. Your spirit has incarnated into a body in order
to enjoy life. Life is to be treasured and enjoyed.
What
about experiences that are unpleasant? Why do we have these?
You
have experiences that are unpleasant partly because you live in
the world of duality. This world is maya, illusion. In this realm
of existence there is dark and light, the sun and the moon, summer
and winter, male and female. Duality is part of this earth walk.
It is part of existence here.
However,
there is a secondary duality that you place upon yourself in judgment.
When you say that something is good or bad, right or wrong, you
place a thought of judgment on the object of your inquiry. Energy
is neither. Energy is neutral. It is directed, then it becomes form.
It can be directed anyway/anywhere you want. So you may have the
experience of a death or a loss, which from a human perspective
is a deep loss. You will experience the sorrow of that loss and
as a human you are meant to experience every emotion. I honor that.
However, where your thoughts dwell will determine how you feel.
You can make any experience more pleasant by staying focused on
the positive aspects of the experience and by remaining in gratitude.
I honor each and every one of your emotions as part of your human
existence. I also honor that you are the creator of your feelings
and what you feel manifests in your body as happiness or sorrow.
Choose your thoughts and focus very carefully because they are part
and parcel of how you carve out your existence.
Question:
How does setting intention create results?
Your
intention is very powerful. Many people in the world are starting
to understand the power of intention. When you align your good thoughts
in support of your intention, it supports the intention to manifest.
Create your intention from a positive place, for your highest good
and for the highest good of all. Then follow with thought and action
in the direction of your dream. Spirit will put the wind in the
sails of any intention that has desire, expectancy and faith. Watch
your thoughts and see how things get easier or harder based on what
you say to yourself. Pay attention to how you are able to receive
support or how you push the readily available support away.
Question:
People die. What is it like to die? Do we need to prepare ourselves
to die?
Yes
it is of course optimal to prepare yourself to die. You must let
go of everything when you leave here, your family, your loved ones,
your possessions, all of them, even your body.
Practice
detachment. Live simply and you will have less to let go of.
If
you have a million dollars and you are holding onto that money tightly,
you are not relaxed. Have fun, share some with someone in need.
It will open your heart, and an open heart is a happy heart. It
is simple. You must care for others but don’t be attached
to the outcome. If you give to someone, let it go. What purpose
does it serve to try to maintain control?
If
you have a little you can still share. Some of the most generous
and happy people have little. They have little to let go of. They
have little possessions. They are ready to die. Let your ego die
long before death. Be detached. Become the witness to all things
and you will find neutrality, joy and a light heart.
Remember
above all that you are love.
